Our Services - Analytic Support
The CCRU provides biostatistical and analytic support to KPNC clients, including clinician investigators and residents. Mary Anne Armstrong, MA, Division of Research Biostatistician, oversees this service. She is supported in this effort by a team of experienced programmers and other research professionals.
Some of the services provided include:
- Feasibility analysis (data preparatory to research)
- Grant proposal preparation (study design/statistical methods and power section)
- Budget estimation for biostatistical and programming assistance
- IRB application preparation, including: power/sample size, study design/statistical methods, and general aspects of the IRB submission process, including how to get approval, HIPPA, etc.
- Data extraction from KP databases
- Data analysis and interpretation, including: descriptive statistics, bivariate analysis, and advanced multivariable analysis
- Preparation of scientific presentations
- Manuscript support, including: methods section, discussion section, supplying statistics, general editing, and re-submission guidance
- General programming support for funded projects
- General statistical consultations
