Thomas Crawford, PhD
Senior Psychologist

Thomas Crawford, PhD, is the senior psychologist and director of training at the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Center, Kaiser Permanente San Jose Medical Center. His specialties include the clinical assessment of ASDs, consulting with families and other professionals, psychological assessment, working with families who have a child with disabilities and psychotherapy with adolescents. Since joining the clinic in 2004, Dr. Crawford has performed thousands of clinical evaluations of children and teens. He also serves as the lead clinician for the Study to Explore Early Development (SEED), and he performs and supervises clinic evaluations conducted as part of the Autism Treatment Network (ATN) program. Dr. Crawford obtained his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Connecticut. He completed his internship at the Kaiser Permanente, Department of Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine, San Diego working with adults, families, and children. His post-doctoral fellowship was with the Kaiser Permanente San Jose Medical Center Department of Child Psychiatry. Dr. Crawford has also worked as a counselor at a school for children with learning disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Asperger's syndrome. He has been an invited speaker for the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Psychiatry Residency Program.
