H. Nicole Hess, PhD

Clinical Psychologist

H. Nicole Hess, PhD, is a clinical psychologist at the Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) Center, Kaiser Permanente San Jose Medical Center and at the Division of Research (DOR), Kaiser Permanente Northern California. She splits her time doing outpatient autism, psychological and behavioral assessments of children suspected of having an autism spectrum disorder and participating in several autism research projects through the DOR. She is the lead clinician in the Early Autism Risk Longitudinal Investigation Study (EARLI), the Study to Explore Early Development (SEED) and the Autism Treatment Network (ATN). She received her doctorate degree from Pacific Graduate School of Psychology in Palo Alto, California. Areas in which Dr. Hess has specialty training include early intervention for autism spectrum disorders, child psychology, infant/toddler assessment and neuropsychological assessment. Dr. Hess completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the ASD Center at Kaiser Permanente San Jose in 2009.
